Short answer
There are three main endings. Finish Chapter II with the Toy Saw for Escape (Ending A), reload and use the real Saw for Return (Ending B), then restore a late Chapter I backup, complete the hidden Misery, Timesville, and Office routes, and return to Mellow's room during the Chapter III epilogue for Stay (Ending C).
When to do it: Create the shared backup near the end of Chapter I, before resolving any of the three area bosses. Use it only after earning A and B on the normal route.
What you need: A manual copy of the Endacopia save folder, access to all three Chapter I areas, and enough progress to stop just before each boss trigger.
Missable or risky: Yes. Chapter transitions and the final epilogue door can close the secret route. Close the game before copying or restoring saves.
Spoiler-free route
For the lowest-spoiler plan, finish the ordinary story twice while changing only the saw selected in Chapter II. Do not hunt deep secrets yet.
Before the third run, restore the Chapter I backup and fully investigate one optional route in each of the three main areas. In the last epilogue, ignore the most obvious door and revisit the room where the game began.
Confirmed details
The efficient backup point is a nearly completed Chapter I: in Misery, stop before asking everyone to leave; in Timesville, stop at the waterfall route after the Ozzie tape; in the Office, hold the Core Key with productivity maximized but do not finish the area.
On Windows, the save is stored under C:\Users\<name>\Saved Games\Endacopia\. The SteamOS compatibility path is ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2684630/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Saved Games/Endacopia/.
The hidden Steam achievements Escape, Return, and Stay correspond to the three ending routes. The Yeti is separate and becomes relevant only after the three main endings are registered.
This page separates documented requirements from route advice. Names, achievement conditions, platform details, and item counts are checked against the linked Steam records; navigation is cross-checked against recorded gameplay. Step-by-step solution
Step 1 — Prepare Misery, Timesville, and the Office at their late Chapter I stopping points. Quit to desktop, copy the complete Endacopia save folder to a clearly named backup, and leave that copy untouched.
Step 2 — Continue normally. In the Chapter II epilogue choose the Toy Saw for Roger and finish the game to register Escape. Quit, restore the backup, replay forward, choose the real Saw, and finish to register Return.
Step 3 — Restore the backup again. Complete the detector-and-cinema secret in Misery, the fishing-key and shared-room route in Timesville, and the telescope, phone, Morse, and logic-puzzle route in the Office.
Step 4 — Finish the remaining bosses and Chapters II and III. The saw selection no longer controls this route. During the Chapter III epilogue, do not enter the door marked with the request to open it.
Step 5 — Walk back to Mellow's room, interact with the familiar visitor, and complete the Clocky rematch/window sequence. Let the ending finish and verify that Stay appears in Steam before replacing any save again.
Common failures and softlock risks
Never restore while Endacopia is running. Steam Cloud or the live process can write the newer state back over the folder you just copied.
A completed secret is not a substitute for the other two. Ending C requires the optional work from Misery, Timesville, and the Office on the same restored route.
The first Clocky fight does not need a special skip. The route-changing Clocky encounter is the later rematch reached from Mellow's room.
Recovery rule: stop before crossing another chapter boundary. Confirm the current objective, cycle every usable inventory item, and retry the interaction from a clean room entry. If the trigger still fails, close the game before restoring a known-good save; copying or replacing live save files while the game is open can overwrite the recovery state.
Version and verification
The route was checked against the three Steam ending achievements, a launch-week all-endings guide, and videos showing A at 00:00, B at 15:02, C at 24:48, plus the separate three-secret sequence.

Frequently asked questions
Can all Endacopia endings be earned from one save?
Yes. Keep an external late Chapter I backup, finish A and B from it, then restore it again and complete all three area secrets for C.
Does the saw choice matter for Ending C?
No. Once the three secret routes are complete, the Ending C trigger is the Chapter III epilogue detour back to Mellow's room.
